Flag - Jan 1861 6 star Secession
Based on two known examples of this design, this flag contains 11 stripes with 5 small and 1 large star. The exact date this flag was designed is unknown, but it was most likely the end of January, 1861 when Louisiana became the 6th state to secede from the Union on January 26th. Just 5 days later Texas became the 7th state to secede and all seven states sent delegates to ratify the Confederate Constitution on March 11th, after adopting the first Confederate flag on March 4th.
